Local Event 2018 – OC Through The Lens of Andy & Robin.

Have you heard of Oldham County Day? If not, let me tell you a little bit of history.

The Project Guild of La Grange, Inc. was founded in August, 1964, with 14 young homemakers as charter members.

The original purpose of the organization was to better enable its members to serve as assets to each other and to the community in which they lived.

Since 1971, Project Guild has hosted Oldham County Day. This event is an annual opportunity held in July to celebrate community pride, to provide fun for all ages, a traditional reunion for friends and family, and a source of income for local charities and service organizations.

Project Guild returns proceeds from Oldham County Day and other endeavors to the community through support for local resources. Project Guild has seen many changes in its history.

Membership today includes women of all ages, career women as well as homemakers, but the purpose remains the same…

To make Oldham County a better place to live!

OC Day is all about Shopping, Food, Fun, & Family Entertainment!

Oldham County Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday in July.

Main street is very close to our farm (literally right down the road) – We are involved with OC Day because we also own a few retail stores. Even if you don’t own any retail stores, on OC day… it is impossible to know a big event is taking place.

Crowds and Crowds EVERYWHERE! People come to visit from all over the globe to shop La Grange on this very special day. There’s always a farmers market in the morning, offering some of the most delicious fresh garden foods, there are food trucks, booths offering some of the most unique gifts and crafts. There are sidewalk sales, beer stands, live music, and so much more! OC Day DOES NOT disappoint. The funnest part besides seeing the train is the epic parade that takes place down the middle of main street! Families from all over the county and surrounding areas bring their tractors, trucks, and parade floats to show off.

Usually candy is flying through the air and children are running clapping and cheering!

The local high-school bands march down main street rockin’ to the beats of their fight songs.

Groups and clubs from all over are showcasing who they are and what they offer.

Huge Shout Out to Photography by Andy & Robin (local photographers) for capturing the memories and events of this year’s Oldham County Day Parade!
